Adding a sub domain name is simple. Follow the following steps to add a new sub domain name:
- Log into your cpanel account. i.e. http://www.example.com/cpanel
- Under the "Domains" section, click on "Subdomains".
- Fill in the "subdomain" field. If you want your subdomain name to be http://test.example.com, fill in the text "test" in the "subdomain" field.
- Click on the field for "Document Root". It should automatically populate for you. If you want to choose a different location, just erase the prepopulated field and enter in the new field you want.
- Click on "Create" button to finalize your new subdomain.
